How Should a Women's Blazer Fit?

· Maverre Maison

A blazer is the fastest way to look put-together, but only if it fits. Check these four points before you buy.

1. Shoulders

The seam should sit right at the edge of your shoulder — not overhanging, not pulling. This is the hardest thing to alter, so check it first. The Monroe Blazer is built around a clean, structured shoulder.

2. Chest and body

You want a smooth line with room to layer a knit underneath — no pulling when closed, no excess fabric when open.

3. Sleeves

Cuffs should end around the wrist bone, with a little of whatever's underneath showing. Too long looks borrowed; too short looks outgrown.

4. Length

A hem that lands around the hip flatters most frames and balances the shoulder. Aim for clean proportions over a specific trend.

Maverre is cut true to size, with free 30-day exchanges if you'd like to try another size. See women's jackets.
